Multidimensional Data Modeling for Feature Extraction and Mapping

This U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Web site documents a series of cartographic and geospatial information science (GIScience) research projects at the USGS Center of Excellence for GIScience (CEGIS), a research center within the National Geospatial Technical Operations Center.

The purpose of this site is to make all project proposals, internally developed reports and papers, input and output datasets, research methods, and bibliographies available to the GIScience research community and to the general public. All datasets are in the public domain, and all online papers were developed within the USGS and thus are free of journal copyright restrictions. Articles listed in the bibliographies are copyrighted by the journals in which they are published.
